Quest Software announces the launch of Coexistence Manager for Notes, the newest addition to its industry leading set of migration solutions. The solution allows organizations to utilize both IBM Lotus Notes and Microsoft Exchange Server simultaneously while either migrating from Notes to Exchange or during a prolonged coexistence scenario, all without disrupting daily end user activities.

In a recent survey of IT executives and managers, Forrester Research reported that 59% of the respondents had either completed or were actively executing an IT consolidation effort that involved server, storage or whole data center consolidation.

While reducing costs was named as a primary motivating factor, Quest Software has observed that the lack of guidelines or tools is a major issue. Quest offers a consolidation guide that outlines best practices and provides ways to use Quest tools that enable SQL Server database administrators (DBAs) to easily plan and execute a consolidation project.

Spotlight reports the anticipated growth in resource consumption and the percentage of the total load a particular statement will consume. By finding problematic SQL statements before performance is impacted, corrective actions can be taken without disrupting end users and organizations can more effectively meet end user Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
